Above New Hope, PA the construction of a new development called Riverwoods began. I lived
in an older development on one of the feeder roads to the new site. Many many acres
of forest we clearcut for the development. At the edge were the management trailors, and
these wires supplied the power to them. I thought this sight made a very strong
statement, particularly how the shiny new wires were bolted to the tree- the tree's final
days being used to aid it's own demise, as the survey marker next to it clearly
shows that this tree too shall be cut down to make way for the development.
Concurrently this shows how the tree is used year round by the ample amount of
seasonally dormant ivy growing up the side of it.
