I specifically finally bought a tripod to get this shot. Located in Lambertville, NJ, this river
town is stupid with spiders during the warm months. While walking my dog one night, I noticed
these spider webs while standing in the shadow of the sign. It was such a georgous sight
that I decided on the spot that I had to finally buy a tripod, as I knew this shot would be next
to impossible to get handheld. Having never taken a multi-second exposure with anything but
my Polaroid Land Camera, I took several shots of this subject with different exposure
periods. I didn't vary the times much, so all of them came out looking practically identical to
this photograph. While the vertical version of this shot is beautiful as well, I feel
that the horizontal shot is the most captivating.
